Tragic Plane Crash in Kazakhstan: Azerbaijan Airlines Flight Suffers Fatal Explosion
In a tragic incident, an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger jet crashed on Wednesday near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan, leaving 67 people onboard in peril. According to reports, an explosion of an oxygen tank inside the Embraer 190 aircraft caused the crash, with alarming signs of passengers falling unconscious before the aircraft went down.

The Embraer 190, carrying 62 passengers and five crew members, was headed from the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, to Grozny, Chechnya. The flight had diverted from its original destination of Grozny because it was foggy there, and it took a wrong turn which led it off course and crashed near Aktau.
The Kazakh authorities have confirmed that 28 people survived the crash, while the rest are not so lucky. Eyewitness accounts and reports by media outlets indicate that the plane caught fire when it hit the ground.
