KK began by writing jingles for advertisements, and before landing in Mumbai and entering Bollywood, he wrote 3,500 jingles. His first big Bollywood song was in Maachis, a film released in 1996. Then in 1999, he came with his first album Pal, which made stars appear in his eyes, with hits like Pal and Yaaron. He eventually turned out to be one of the masters of the romantic songs, winning numerous awards, two Screen Awards, besides several nominations for Filmfare Awards.
KK passed away on 31 May 2022 performing in a college festival in Kolkata. Indian music never found another star so worthy as he. His songs are still rocking the ears of listeners irrespective of any age.
