Despite her fearsome appearance, she is also referred to as Shubhankari, meaning one who bestows auspicious results. The seventh day is considered highly significant for invoking her blessings to ward off evil and untimely death.

Significance of Worshiping Maa Kalratri

Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)
- Preparation: On the seventh day of Navratri, wake up early and take a bath. Wear clean clothes and prepare the area for worship.
- Ganesha Veneration: Begin the rituals by invoking Lord Ganesha, as he is the remover of obstacles.
- Setup: Light incense and lamps. Place an image or idol of Maa Kalratri. If you don’t have her image, you can worship an image of Maa Durga instead.
- Offerings: Use Akshat (unbroken rice), incense, Ratrani flowers, sandalwood, and vermilion for her worship. Maa Kalratri is especially fond of offerings made from jaggery, so present jaggery or jaggery-based sweets as bhog.
